Morning News to Reminds Us That, Sometimes, Nobody Really Cares Where Kaka Plays
By: Martha | December 16th, 2006
Alessio Ferramosca and Riccardo Neri, two players in the Juve youth setup, died yesterday after falling into a freezing lake on the Juve campus. The pair apparently climbed a fence surrounding the lake in pursuit of their football; they slipped on plastic sheeting around the lake and were unable to get out.
Today is Neri’s birthday: He would have been 17. Juve’s game yesterday was postponed, and there will be moments of silence before all Serie A matches today. May they be impeccably observed.
Edit: In the Fiorentina-Milan game, the moment of silence was actually a moment of applause — I don’t think I’ve ever seen that before, at least not in case like this. Can someone more knowledgeable than I offer some sort of explanation?

Very sad indeed, no team, family or youth should have to endure an event like this.
This isn’t what I know, its what was explained by one of the commentators for one of thegames i was watching, I can’t remeber which one. I think It was Saturday’s Udinese vs Cagliari game (Not quoted):
The applause during the moment of silence is actually a sign of respect that is why during the moment of silence the fans were clapping. It’s not expeceted of the players but for the fans it is a greater sign of respect to clap then to remain silent.
