I don't understand the logic of this kind of argument at all. Rangers did exactly what they had to do to beat a superior team. They accomplished their task. Winning with catennacchio and cynical play is the same thing as winning with style. You know why? Because it's a WIN. Rangers get to play the final—Fiorentina doesn't.
