(Faux) WAG of the Week: Liz Solari

This is highly irregular, but we’re going through another lean WAG time, so I don’t care. Liz Solari is the sister of Inter midfielder Santiago Solari; as far as I know she’s never had an intimate relationship with a footballer, either in Serie A or elsewhere. But, since she shares genetic material with a footballer currently playing Italy, I’m creating a special clause in the rules to allow her in. (If any other footballers have model sisters, by all means let me know.)
As you might expect, little sis Solari is Argentine, just like her brother (though for some reason she was born in Colombia). She’s 24 years old and is clearly a late bloomer for a model, having scored her first magazine cover only about four year ago. In addition, she wears a size six and has normal boobs so, in model terms, she’s a lardass who’s flat as a board — her future in the profession is clearly limited. (Based on the hideous lingerie she’s asked to model, her career may already have started to flag.)
Perhaps for that reason, she’s branching out into Argentine reality shows, clearly with an eye to scoring a coveted, Italy showgirl gig. So far, Ms. Solari’s TV resume is limited to an appearance this past winter on a So You Think You Can Dance-type show, on which she was paired with a ordinary, dancing schmo named Daniel Meza Sánchez. (The show itself sounds completely insane and gets very high ratings due to the harsh, personal bashing of celebrity contestants and judges by one another. Nice! And, to make it even more awesome: Diego Maradona appeared as a guest judge in one episode. Enough said.)
Next step: Sending tapes to the dirty old men who hire showgirls in Italy. Why, she’s just a few steps away from gainful, totally humiliating employment — just like a real WAG.

I’ve died laughing here! I love how you can post WAGs (or pseudo-WAGs) and then make positively feminist comments about their chosen professions. Love it. And yes, I understand that ‘feminist’ has been made into a dirty word…

Absolutely good call on the bending of rules. Martha, you made an executive decision in difficult times and the Board of Directors (pretty much me, Roma Chris and the rest of the regulars) applauds you for it. However, I find little hideous about the lingerie she models.

Well Martha, if you’re gonna bend the rules and go with siblings, I got one for you: Zizou’s sister. I mean anyone that receives Materazzi’s stamp of approval, I’m dying to see some pictures…

And Martha, I believe you’ve missed one of my personal faves, Federica Fontana. Who has had the utter privilege of getting on the Francesco Totti love ride (they were together for awhile – dunno when).

Another Totti ex, Chris? She was featured as part of the Bobo Birthday Double-WAG Special, but she certainly deserves a spot of her own, if she’s in fact experienced the (not so) elusive Totti action.

Looking back on that earlier Double WAG Special I’ve realized two things:
1. If either of those girls were to be featured, it surely needed to be Federica. I’m partial to brunettes, but Federica is a 10.5 and a half.
2. I can’t wait until Bobo starts commenting again. I’m sure he’s been chomping at the bit to get back and he’ll already be in mid-season form within the next week or so.

Chris, just felt that your time could be better spent posting more pictures of Mexes and therefore keeping me happy… so really it was a selfish move on my part.
And Martha, I was actually surprised they used such a “fully-clothed” picture of Seredova when we all know there’s a plethora of nude photos of her around… (and I totally don’t swing that way, but c’mon, she has a way better body than, say, Ballack’s wife – I guess I just expected totallycrap.com to really choose their nakedness better)
