WAG of the Week: Elena Santarelli

Yowza.
Thanks to the gossip-mongering tendencies of Calcio Italia, I discovered the other day that the lovely Elena Santarelli is dating Bernardo Corradi who, despite currently plying his trade for Man City in England, is still firmly Italian. And thus today’s WAG of the Week was born.
Elena’s story is almost entirely without interesting twists (not that you care) — she was born, dreamed of being a model, was discovered, signed with Elite, and now she’s living her proverbial dream. No messing around with nonsense like school or beauty pageants for this one, she knew what the hell she wanted. Her modeling career so far has been a mix of the classy — including a campaign for Emporio Armani — and the delightfully lurid, including her very own Max calendar (which we know by now is a virtual requirement for Italian WAGs).
Since hitting the big time she’s branched out a bit into the media, appearing on the Italian version of I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here (not, sadly, in the same season as fellow WAG Aida Yespica) and also featuring in a “spirited comedy” called Vita Smeralda. If you’re not one of the four non-Italians who’s seen the movie, never fear — you can see her in action here, assuming you’re not at work. I wouldn’t watch the video with bosses around. (Also don’t look at the unedited photo with them in the area.)

So of course I clicked on your link, being terminally curious and physically incapable of not clicking on links. I didn’t actually watch the video, because it was taking too long to load and I have no attention span.
But I found it humorous that the tags for the video included: “Naked Nude Sexy Girls Boobs Mature”
Doesn’t the use of the word “Boobs” kind of make the word “Mature” a misnomer? Like, in all instances?

Martha, how do you keep this fantastic weekly article alive? Brilliant. Impeccable research (if she is a little boring, that is no fault of yours). Is there some sort of People magazine for Italy that you subscribe to stay up on which hottie all these guys are dating?

I suppose it could be a … breast-feeding video? Are those necessarily mature? “Mature” must be search magic at that site (which is disturbing in and of itself — it makes me think of senior citizens getting it on).
And I’ll have you know that condom is called a “stamp” by my image editing program. Whatever it’s called, it was obviously invented to cover nipples.

Thanks Muddia! I do have periodic struggles, but the last few weeks have been fairly easy — I’m starting to just stumble upon WAGs without even trying (fingers crossed that continues). I do need an Italian People, though. That would be PERFECT. (Entirely for research purposes, of course.)

Martha, my sister lived in Rome for 18 months. I’ll ask if she can recommend a good gossip mag for you. Photo wise though, check out http://www.allcelebrity.net. It is basically nothing but hot Italian women. I accidentally stumbled upon it in my first search (for research purposes only mind you) for Ilary Blasi.
