WAG of the Week: Martina Colombari (Take Two)

As part of my continued effort to revisit the classics/inability to find new WAGs, I once again give you Martina Columbari, the wife of Milan’s newest coach, Billy Costacurta. (Just to cover my ass, I’m making a rule now that coaches get to play in this game. Just in case we find out later that, like, The Tinkerman’s wife is spectacularly hot, or something.) Because she’s got an awesome, 80s-style hotness going on, I’m doing my best to ignore how frighteningly thin her legs are.

Just to review: She won the Miss Italian pageant in 1991 when she was 16, which pretty much guaranteed her a career in taking her clothes off, if she wanted it (they love their pageants girls in Italy). Far from being alarmed about their 16-year-old being a sex symbol, her parents reportedly plastered the walls of their pizzeria with pictures of their … semi-naked daughter. Ew. And li’l Martina went on to do the usual TV hosting and acting gigs, as well as a whole lot of calendars. Now, though, she seems to have become quite demure, and spends most of her time at home, waiting for Billy to finish work.

  I still don’t understand what you have against Valentina Zambrotta. Yes she has HUGE boobs, but that’s the point, isn’t it? She’s quite funny and level headed in interviews. To deal with his OCD self, you’d have to be.

  I’m disappointed with the lack of skankiness too; I thought you were going raunchy this week. Her pic from feb8 is hot though.

  I’d like to suggest that WAGs include, not only coach WAGS, but also famous celebs that are known to support an Italian team. For example, hypothetically it’s found out that Megan Fox (chick from Transformers) is let’s say, oh I don’t know, a big Juve fan… and following the connection to football you’d be able to post pics like this:

  I don’t dislike her Louise — and she does seem cool in the interviews I’ve seen — I just feel uncomfortable looking at her beach/magazine shots because I feel like the whole world is just staring at her boobs. Maybe I feel bad for her more than anything else (though she clearly isn’t bothered).

  MIKE! Brilliant freaking idea! That could open up a whole new WAG world for me, and end all these repeats (though I did recently find something on an Italy gossip site titled “the harem of Bobo,” which surely must hold something useful for us).

  Valentina Zambrotta pics are very hard to find, you sort of have to stumble upon them — the non-paparazzi ones are scans from magazine articles about the two of them. I used to have one bookmarked for future WAG action, but I seem to have gotten annoyed and deleted it, so I can’t show you. Sorry.
